Last week and this week we were learning how to create a WordPress page. We have created the page by using teacher’s instructions. Once we’ve created the site, we sent the link to the teacher to evaluate it.
Additionally, we had to add some pages, such as Feed, About, Portfolio, Map, Links and Skills. It was to make the site more interactive and to get the most of WordPress. On the main page, we’ve customized the header, logo, added a little section about ourselves and make the site more aesthetically pleasing.
What really helped to create the website were the instructions from the teacher, but also the additional videos. I think it’s a very good idea to add those, because there are students who can’t get to the lectures and it’s a nice way for them to understand the material better.
We’ve also started writing our learning reports after getting the guidance from the teacher. We also had to make peer reviews of other student’s sites. It was very exciting to see what others were up to and how they customized their sites.
This post is a summary of the first part and my personal experience of it.
